How to get Weight Watchers for free. Really!

Did you leave any sort of gap to allow for expansion and contraction of the wood? I would love to do this, but worry about that. Some of the gaps are a bit bigger and some are smaller because some of the pieces were not perfectly straight. I think the bigger gaps give it a little characeter. So far, the floors are still absolutely beautiful! This tutorial can be really helpful for installing plywood flooring, it sure looks easy after reading the above post but i am sure you must be knowledgeable enough to do this without any mistakes.

Your floors are b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!!!! Question, how long did this take you both, did I read that you did it over a week-end? Just wondering about applying the Poly, etc…timeframe estimates. It took us about three days ALL day. We put the poly on, waited four hours, light sanding, put coat 2 on, waited four hours, then we put four more coats on sanding lightly before the last coat.

It monotonous but so worth it!! If you want to take a great deal from this article then you have to apply these techniques to your won web site. Hi there to all, how is everything, I think every one is getting more from this web page, and your views are pleasant in favor of new viewers. Also visit my web-site — hardwood floors.

Hi there, every time i used to check web site posts here in the early hours in the break of day, since i enjoy to find out more and more. Look into my web page — treatment for toenail fungus. I am curious about the nailing process. What size and style nails did you use, and did you stick to the pattern shown in your first diagram? Again, lovely floors and thanks! We rented a finish pneumatic nailer gun and it was a lot of fun to use!

We did not fill in the nail holes. We just stained over them and I think it just adds character to the floor. We all walk on them with bare feet and it is very smooth. We absolutely love our floors. Are you thinking of laying wood floors? It was a lot of work but oh so worth it. I really want to do every room. Hi This looks really great! I was just wondering about spaces or gaps between the plywood strips.

I am just worried about dirt being trapped between the plywood planks. We tried to put nickels in between each board.

Some gaps were too big for the nickels. We vacuum and it seems to do the job. Your floors look great! I never knew plywood could look so nice! I think of plywood as being kind of soft, relative to traditional hardwood floors. Do you have more dinks, deep scratches, etc. With kids and a dog, they are still looking great! I really want to stain all my light oak floors the same dark stain as my family room.

Hi Linda, I love this idea! Do you have any pictures of the nailed down ends close up? Wondering how it looks. Also did you use a sander? We love our floors. They are holding up very well. I do not have a close up of the nails. If you send me your e-mail I can send a picture to you. We bought A grade plywood that did not need to be sanded. We did do a light sanding after installation before staining. We did that with a hand sander.

We just butted each board against the previous board and nailed it down. So far it is holding up well. I think my favorite part is that your whole family works on these projects together. Have a great Christmas! Hi Linda I love the floor, and after laying to hardwood floors for my parents and knowing the cost, even doing the work myself, I love the idea of the plywood floors, I'm cureently building a small cabin up behind my parents house, for when I visit, and was considering hardwood floors, expensive, lol, then I came across your blog and love the floors, but after doing numerious google searches I can't seem to find a good how to on staining the plywood, What stain did you use, oil or water based and same for condioner and poly coat.

We absolutely love them and they are holding up so well. Then we used Minwax Red Mahogany water based stain. I just put it on with a clean cloth and my husband followed behind wiping the excess off. The polyurethane was Varathane water based.

We brushed on six coats. Let me know if I can answer any more questions. Good luck with your floors. OMG I love your floor! Also did you sand the cut edges before laying floor and did you glue them to the subfloor before nailing them into place? Did you nail them at a angel or straight into the floor? Do you think this would work for countertops as well giving them a sort of butcherblock look? We did not sand the cut edges. We do glue to the subfloor before we nailed. Nailed them straight in.

Not sure about the countertops. Your floor is incredible! I think your answer is really splendid. LOVE the way it looks. I truly appreciate you getting all over off that floor!!! The only thing we would have done differently is we would have to cut the plywood with a table saw instead of the circular saw we had at the time.

We bought a table saw later and life would have been so much easier and the cuts would have been perfectly straight!! We have small gaps but I can honestly say there has been no problem whatsoever. So happy we did it!!! I love the look of this! Just one quick question…what was the foam insulation board on the materials list used for?

I don't see it anywhere in the instructional section. We love our floors! The foam insulation board was used to support the plywood sheets while we were cutting them. In your pattern diagram in step 5 — was there a reason you did not alternate the short pieces from one side of the room to the other rather than having long boards all on one side of the room? Also, the board lengths do not seem to all add up to 19'. You have explained in more detailed. Thank you for that. And did I understand right you had to stain asap.

Anything and how long have you have them now wear and tear. Any upkeep things I need to know. Hope you get this and private email me quilting nemont. I loooove your floors. Ever since we moved in I have been wanting to get rid of this gross carpet…now its 3 years later lol. A couple of questions: How do you clean your floors? Your floor looks fantastic! I have a couple of questions though. I'll apologize ahead of time if someone has already asked.

Did you use the foam board under the plywood over the subfloor? And did you use glue and nails both? We did not use foam board under the plywood.

Yes, we used glue and nails. I love how your floor turned out! It looks like it has been about 2. How is it holding up? Were you concerned about the longevity of the floor with the laminate breaking down over time? I love this idea and told my husband about it, but he thinks that the plies will blister over time. I'd love to know what your thoughts are on the subject. These are gorgeous and the tutorial is fantastic.

I think this may be the answer for us redoing about sq. This is my first time visit at here and i am genuinely impressed to read everthing at alone place. Hi, love the floors1 Its been almost four years now and I want to know if the floors are still in good condition.

Have you had to to do any touch ups in this time? I am thinking about doing this over my existing wood floors. We do not have a solid sub-floor, but wood planks that I have been told cannot be sanded again. I love my family, my God, my home […]. We are laying plywood floors in our family room because we had to rip up the awful stained carpet in that room and ANYTHING would have been an improvement. I didn't want carpet again. All of our first floor is wood except the family room and guest bedroom.

We did our weekly feels like daily run to our friendly neighborhood Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse. We really do have some of the nicest, most helpful people working at our Lowe's. It's a pleasure to go in there and spend our children's inheritance!! This is what we bought: The first thing we had to do was to build a saw guide for our circular saw. I have an ultrasound tomorrow, will keep you posted. I have been off the supplements for at least a month but am still having the pain…. I started slim4life in May, at lbs…am now at and while I love the way I look, my hair is falling out and my kidney function is out of whack as well as my ferritin levels have bottomed out.

I would just like to know how the product work? Another thing is how much it cost to get started with the program? Is this something i could do without paying a large amount of money?

What are the key elements to losing weight on this program? What makes this program different from the other programs out? Slim 4 Life is a good program. They do teach you the essentials of eating healthy. However, the weight that you lose is great but, you may also be losing muscle since they do not incorporate working out into the program. You do take supplements such as a daily vitamin, essential fatty acids fish oil and an appetite suppressant they call the metabolizer not to mention the protein bars and shakes that run more than I went from to in a short amount of time.

Once, I hit I plateaued miserably. I did all that they asked me to do and could not lose any more weight. I was basically told, they could not help me. I left Slim 4 Life and they still call me wanting me to come in. I work out now and still eat healthy but, I eat corn, carrots, and cheese. All of which is forbidden until you lose ALL the weight. I am happy and healthy and still am losing in a healthy way on my own.. Wish I had read this page before I spent almost two thousand dollars on Slim 4 Life.

I was on the program for aproximately three and a half weeks going to the store four times a week for weigh ins. I lost six pounds by drinking tons of water and taking there suplements which ending up making my heart race. I ended up in the Doctors office thinking I was having a heart attack. Believe me there is no money back guarantee. This turned out to be one big mistake….. Hi, l feel the same way two thousand dollars on slim 4 life.

The pills did not do a thing for me. I need to get some of my money back. I tried slim for life a year ago and it is so disappointing. Once you break the diet down you are allowed to eat between calories a day! I spent over 2K on slim for life to lose 30 pounds. I took all the nasty pills and drank the nasty power boost and did the whole thing.

I lost about 28 in 12 weeks. But I am healthier and happier. I was not obese but took off the weight for vanity. I lost 9 lbs in 3 weeks…. Dieting is about Calories in and Calories out…. I only had 18 lbs. I feel very jittery and weak. I am a mother and cannot really focus and be there for my kids the way I need to be because of the way I feel. I did the Atkins diet years ago and went from a size 12 to a 2 in months and never felt like this. I have lost maybe 4 lbs.

Now here i am at 5 months and one thing i have noticed is that even though i am not doing the diet that well, i am still using supplements and i am loosing hair like crazy. At first i thought it might be my age as i am 58, or maybe a medication, even though i had been on it for months, but this is crazy loss.

Yes, I too was losing hair like crazy. I have very fine thin hair so this was a real concern. I also thought it might be my age as I was 50 the first time I did the program. I gained all the weight back and went back a second time and had the same issue with hair loss.

I only wanted to loose 23 lbs. I did loose 6 lbs, though, and felt pretty good. Any by the way, my stomach started to hurt really bad about the 4th week into the program… and yes, this is absolutely a no money back program, which to me is horrible.

If the pills are causing sickness, their should be some type of refund, even half would be great. My reason for trying the program was to get off blood pressure meds, which for 4 weeks I did. I am also trying the green smoothies now, and walking more. I really want to get off the meds for good and loose the weight as well…. I may be different from all. My wife got in to slim for life three months ago weighing LB. But now she is LB she really enjoys the food she is really energetic.

So she loves it and she said it is worth paying the money. Because she tried south beach diet and all appetite suppresant pills which most of them deprive her sleep and reacting with medication which she used to take. So I may not agree with you in this matter. But thank you for giving me the oppurtunity to express my opinion. I lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I was very excited. I highly recommend it.

It was way to expensive for us. You said you followed the food rules and lost… did you also use any of the over the counter bars or thurmal boost pills to try to help it along?? Find Omega3 and a Carb blocker. My mom paid for the program and lost about 45 lbs in 4 months.

I am on it right now and have lost about 16 lbs in 5 weeks. This is what I eat: Tuna or chicken for lunch, a protein bar I prefer the Zone bars and chicken or fish for dinner. The first 3 days are only protein and veggies no carrots, corn, or peas. Very simple diet to follow. My husband has lost 20 lbs in 5 weeks. My mom started this diet a few years ago and lost 45 lbs in about 4 months. The first place you lose it is your stomach which is great but you must follow the program which is fairly simple.

My husband and I have been doing the diet for about 5 weeks. I have lost 16 lbs and my husband has lost 20 lbs. My mom gave me the diet plan. I ate 2 boiled eggs and 1 orange for breakfast. I felt satisfied and lost 5 lbs the first 3 days.

After that I added in one starch per day and a protein bar I prefer the Zone bars-which a counselor told my mom is the same thing as their bars. You are not suppose to eat cheese but my husband and I will sometimes eat string cheese as an afternoon snack. I probably could of lost more over these 5 weeks but I drink beer on the weekends.

It is a simple plan to follow and it does work. My stomach is flatter now than before I had my daughter in February. The 3 day prep is. You can also have as much Kraft Fat Free dressing as you want to go with your vegetables and to put on your meat as well.

You are basically doing the Atkins diet during your prep phase. Also make sure you drink plenty of water oz a day. You pee your fat out, that is why it is so important to drink water.

I cannot afford the program. I have tried pretty much everything out there with no success. I visited with a slim4 life an program is way too expensive for me. And also the 3 day prep diet. I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much! Hey Rose, Would it be possible for you to share the list and prep with me? I would greatly appreciate your help! Could someone please send me the list of foods. I truly want to lose weight but need a quick start for now. I would appreciate it so much, I am getting married in July and really need to lose about 20 pounds.

Try Somersizing- you could drop 20 effortlessly — kindof the same as Slim4life with more choices and variety — can get the book at a bookstore — even the used bookstores have it. You can cook at home or eat out. Did they check all the galbladder ducts?

If you have a stone in one of the bile ducts it can cause extreme pain. I agree it did sound like gallbladder because when you lose fat at a high rate of speed it gets all clogged up in the gallblader ausing stones. This happened to me and I had mine out also. Yes the same happened to me after being on their plan.

I just started the plan and had the same severe pain after taking the first day of pills. My friend had similar problems, she got really sick several times. They also thought she had something wrong with her gallbladder.

I joined the Slim4Life program in the spring of I lost 70 pounds quickly and was so happy buying new clothes, etc, wanted to lose pounds more. Then I started having regular diarrhea at times uncontrollable and excessive gas and could not find relief. She suggested I see my doctor. Finally had to stop program because of stomach problems. Was prescribed 2 antibiotics and problems ceased….. Problems recurred every months. Antibiotics are not helping the same way they had the first time.

Tested for gallstones…still seeing the gastroenterologist.. Gas returned in January after only 1 month after antibiotics — so severe that it affects my daily life and routines. Discovered the Acid-Alkaline balance diet and am trying to eat high alkaline foods — helps somewhat. Tried Imodium for 2 days this week and gas has been reduced to normal. Today is the most normal day since January I empathize with those that have had these side effects; and would love to hear from those with similar experiences.

Antibiotics not only kill bad bacteria, they also kill good bacteria. Add two things [neither of which can possibly harm you]: Stomach Formula [made from aloe vera gel]. In regards to the gall bladder and stomach issues.

I had to have my gall bladder removed, too. Started having pain in my side and back under my ribs. I also had stomach issues and diarrhea. I started our weighing pounds and got down to I felt so much better with the weight off but the gall bladder issue made me not feel well about the program.

I asked one of the counselors about it and she acted funny and would not talk about it … It has been several years now that I was on the program and I have gained all the weight back plus some. I still have pain in my right side under my rib and sometimes think it is my liver …. I have been on Slim 4 Life for a while now and have lost 25 lb. The pills, boosts, and shakes make me sick with gas and pains every day. You need to have sometime to report to and get weighed — otherwise you will cheat.
